While many Fortune 100 companies have answered the first lady’s call to action by making military hiring a priority for their companies, we cannot expect to move the needle on veteran unemployment with large employers alone. We need America’s job growth engine, the 27 million small businesses that fuel our economy, to consider this talent pool even more aggressively.
