ZeroMils is a social impact consulting firm with a mission to create Military Thriving cultures and communities. We implement a proven model working collaboratively with Fortune 500 companies across their Talent Acquisition, Social Impact, and Marketing teams to create an integrated strategy that breaks down existing silos.

The work ZeroMils did with Allstate in 2022-23 is a great example of the beginnings of an integrated strategy. ZeroMils forged partnerships between Allstate and eight national nonprofits, culminating in one of the most successful virtual hiring events in the organization’s history. 500 Veteran and military spouse participants attended and 40 actual hires resulted from the virtual hiring event.

ZeroMils delivered exceptional results over the course of nine months. They proved themselves more than consultants, immersing their team with ours, and working tirelessly to achieve aggressive goals and objectives. They went the extra mile to help us establish relationships with 8 national nonprofits to create a pipeline of Veteran and military spouse candidates, culminating in one of the most successful virtual talent acquisition events for our company year to date. Their model to integrate TA, social impact, and marketing strategies was proven over a very compressed timeframe. As an employer that values military talent, Allstate is clearly better positioned as a result of our partnership with ZeroMils.

As a Veteran-owned small business, ZeroMils has the malleability to implement, execute, and refine the strategy we’ve created and consult other companies—big and small—to adopt.

Practicing what we preach, ZeroMils has organically become the index case for the Three Pillar Model and creating a Military Thriving culture inside of our company.

ZeroMils hired two Active Duty Military Spouses who have not only risen to the occasion as key team members, but have also helped grow and shape our business. Valuable talent found in military spouses is an asset to our company and they are our best recruiters when we continue to grow our team.

Impact

We invest our talent, treasure, and time in nonprofit organizations that we believe in and who are supporting the Military and Veteran community in ways that showcase our strengths and values. Engagement drives outcomes and at ZeroMils our social sector engagement drives outcomes of job satisfaction, connected communities, and expressions of purpose and service.

We share all angles of our story relentlessly, not for the fanfare but to illustrate that our history can be every Veteran and Military Spouse’s future too. Marketing to our various stakeholders increases awareness and understanding of ZeroMils’ mission and storytelling brings the human and authentic flavor into our marketing strategies.
