An Army spouse, Beth has been a dedicated and vocal advocate for military spouses in the workplace specifically while stationed overseas. Recognized as a subject matter expert she has contributed to panel discussions, authored op-eds, and been called on to support various members of Congress who support military spouse initiatives. Beth encountered challenges with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) in 2013 when a PCS to Germany ended her career and put her professional development and family’s financial security at risk. Seeing this as a needless barrier, she has worked tirelessly to clarify what the SOFA is and is not and how it should not be a barrier to a military spouse’s ability to work while overseas. Currently at Amazon, Beth is growing her career as a Technical Business Manager. Outside of her day job, she is an alumnus of the Bush Institute Stand-To Veteran leadership program, an advisor to MilitarySpouseJobs.org and the Blue Star Families Research and Polic team, is the Chairwoman of the board for the Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce and sits on several DoD and White House working groups focused on reducing employment challenges.
