About the Event

Military Thriving LIVE is ZeroMils’ effort to bring together our connected community through a  series of fun and engaging virtual events. At our launch event we will share our “why”—the reason behind our mission to create Military Thriving cultures and communities and the 5 things we believe Veterans, military spouses and their families need to thrive.

We will do it with passion, purpose, and the help of our connected community—special guests, influencers, and unsung heroes from across the public, private and nonprofit sectors—who have traveled their own paths from merely surviving to thriving in every way.

Our inaugural and inspirational keynote speaker is author, actor, and entrepreneur retired Army Colonel Greg Gadson, author of “Finding Waypoints—A Warriors’ Journey Toward Peace and Purpose”.

Colonel Gregory D. Gadson
USA (Ret.)

Retired Army Colonel Gregory D. Gadson was commissioned as a second lieutenant of Field Artillery in 1989 from West Point and served in every major conflict of the past two decades.

He dedicated himself to leading the Soldiers, civilian employees and family members in living the Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, and Integrity. Colonel Gadson’s life is also a portrait of courage in the face of great adversity. In May 2007, as commander of the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery, Greg’s greatest challenge came in Iraq, where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack cost him both legs above the knees and normal use of his right arm and hand. Despite this, Greg remained on active duty culminating in his final tour as the Garrison Commander at Fort Belvoir.

Entrepreneur, motivational speaker, actor and now author of “Finding Waypoints: A Warrior’s Journey Towards Peace and Purpose;” Greg has used his platform tirelessly to raise awareness about the service and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. And he knows what it means to go from surviving to thriving.
